History of Our Club
Originally, our Club was started as sub-division Fun Club to be held in Estevan, Saskatchewan— under the supervision of the Inner Wheel Club of Weyburn in Saskatchewan. Then, in 2017, the Clubs merged to be one and with one name, hence, we are called ‘WE’ —coming from Weyburn and Estevan. Charities & Charitable Projects Supported Along with the Inner Wheel District’s chosen charity for the year—which rotates between National and International Charities— the Inner Wheel Club of WE members chose different charities and non-profit organizations to give their time, help and raise money. These have included: the Saskatchewan Mobile Crisis Unit; Music for the Gut; Scouts; Brownies, the Estevan Humane Society; Homes for Humanity; Envision; 4H, the Rotary Club; the Estevan Art Gallery & Museum; United Way; the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society; St Josephs Hospital and Meals on Wheels. Affectionately known as the ‘WE’ Club by our members, we meet once a month, mainly on a Friday evening, in and around Estevan, Saskatchewan. Our WE Club welcomes any lady wishing to come to one of our monthly events—no matter how far away you live. We hope you will enjoy yourself so much, at our event, that you want to become a member of our lovely Club.
Our Club is a Ladies Fun Social-Crafty Club, made up of lovely-natured ladies of varying age (mainly, at the moment, from mid-twenties to mid-fifties) and of multi cultural origin. WE helps serve the community, the country and the world’s needy—by raising money for charities with a raffle at each of our meetings and helping with our District Raffle. As most of our members are already heavily involved with other charitable organizations and / or have full-time jobs and young families, our Club is geared to be more social and fun—without the added pressure of bigger fund-raising events. WE can even help you find a baby sitter, if you need one to attend. If you need to bring your young baby, in order to join us, they are always welcomed!
